Updated protocols for
increased sanitization (COVID-19)

The Amenify team and our licensed providers conduct thousands of home cleaning services per month, and safety is our top priority.
Based on collaboration with service personnel, building management staff, and guidance from government agencies,
we have upgraded our cleaning protocols to ensure that Amenify communities continue to be a source of comfort, cleanliness, and peace of mind.

Updates for Residents

Are cleans still happening as scheduled?

Yes, as long as you would still like your clean to occur, Amenify and our provider partners are happy to help you keep your home safe and sanitized. Should circumstances at your community make it impossible for our cleaning teams to enter or to safely complete your clean, we will reach out to let you know. If you subscribe to recurring cleans, the Amenify Concierge can help you pause your service until we are able to resume cleaning as scheduled.

What if my leasing office is closed or minimally staffed?

Expect to hear from the Amenify support team via text or email in the days leading up to your clean to arrange your preferred method of key release.

What if my city or county has instated a stay at home order?

Under the stay at home orders currently in effect in several cities throughout the U.S., individuals may leave their residence to perform Essential Activities. These activities include delivering necessary services or supplies (including household consumer products and products necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences) to others, as well as providing home and residential-based care services. Under this order, dedicated Amenify cleaning teams qualify as essential onsite personnel and are happy to complete your upcoming clean, making sure you have access to EPA-approved disinfecting products and your home stays safe and sanitized.

What should I do if I’m feeling sick?

For your safety and that of your cleaning team as well as the other residents in your community, we ask that you do not book an Amenify clean if you are feeling ill. If you have an upcoming booked clean, you should expect to hear from the Amenify support team in the days leading up to your clean to arrange access to your unit, and may reschedule your clean or pause your subscription at that time.

What should I do if I want to cancel or skip an upcoming booked clean?

You can skip an upcoming clean by selecting “2” on the automated text reminder you receive 48 hours prior to your booking. If you subscribe to recurring cleans, the Amenify Concierge can help you pause your service until we are able to resume cleaning as scheduled. Reach out via email at customersupport@amenifyold.local or via text at 720-735-0545.

Is Amenify giving back to support cleaning staff and healthcare professionals at this time?

Updates for Building Managers

Overview

In response to recent health concerns and requests from our customers, Amenify is introducing additional measures for cleaning both in the home and for the broader community. More than ever, residents are looking for a clean/safe environment and this is our top priority.

What do increasing work-from-home policies mean for me?

Americans are currently navigating challenges presented by COVID-19, including precautionary measures, sanitization, and a changing work environment. In San Francisco alone, more than 128 technology companies are forcing employees to remain home. For many residents, this means densely populated apartment communities.

Universally, residents are looking for a clean and inviting environment to remain comfortable within. This represents an opportunity for Amenify and its clients to reinforce our commitment as building managers and providing the most positive, safe experience we can.

What is Amenify doing to help residents and on-site staff?

Amenify is taking a proactive approach to ensure safety for all of our stakeholders: residents, onsite teams, providers. Amenify cleaning professionals are taking extra safety precautions including:

  • Clean, new shoe-coverings (‘booties’) for each unit
  • Clean, new gloves for each unit
  • Cloth face masks
  • Checking their temperatures each day before entering residents’ properties, and staying home if they have a fever or feel ill.
  • Disinfecting cars and equipment prior to entering the building
  • Washing hands before and after each unit
  • Additional communication before/after in-unit cleaning
  • Sanitizing keys before handing back to the on-site team

Looking ahead and staying positive

It is critical to continue evaluating the data and identifying ways to build stronger relationships with our residents during this difficult time.

To align with our partners, we would appreciate any information about corporate initiatives around recent health concerns.  If there are any extra measures planned from the corporate office, we can assist in communicating these changes directly to Amenify users.

Updates for Service Providers

Overview

In response to recent health concerns, Amenify is introducing additional measures to keep trusted provider personnel and apartment residents safe. This starts with a safe environment for our cleaning team professionals.

What should cleaning personnel do before entering each property?

To ensure the safety of cleaning personnel, onsite staff, and residents, cleaning teams must wash and disinfect hands, disinfect the interior of their vehicles, and their equipment prior to entering each community.

What should cleaning personnel do before entering each unit?

To comply with social distancing, cleaning professionals must do the following:

  • When a resident has indicated that they will be home during the clean, stand several feet from the door when greeting the resident.
  • Give the resident the opportunity to remain in a separate room during the clean.
  • If the resident prefers to leave the unit during the clean, provide an expected time for cleaning completion.

What protocol should cleaning personnel follow while completing cleans?

To maximize their own safety and the safety of residents, we ask that cleaning personnel follow the protocol below:

  • Wash and disinfect hands before and after entering each unit
  • Use only EPA-approved disinfectants
  • Wear clean, new shoe-coverings (‘booties’) for each unit
  • Wear clean, new gloves for each unit
  • Wear a cloth face covering for the entirety of your time spent onsite at each community
  • Use clean, fresh materials (cloths, sponges, etc.) for each unit
  • Wipe down cleaning equipment used (brooms, vacuums, etc) with disinfectant wipes between cleans
  • Sanitize keys prior to handing them back to the on-site team
  • Remain in constant contact with the Amenify Corporate team to ensure continued safety
